Refrigerators are wonderful, but the simple truth is that they are also very often full of bacteria, in fact the fridge is one of the most bacteria laden areas in the home. Scientific studies have confirmed that up to 11.4 million bacteria can be found on just 1 square centimeter of the internal surface of a fridge.
Invisible pathogens in the fridge cause serious diseases. This is an unavoidable fact.
We have all heard of infection and food poisoning out breaks which have started in restaurants, but equally thousands of such outbreaks start from pathogens which are breading in the fridges found in our homes and our workplaces. Regular cleaning of the
fridge is of course advisable but it does not reduce the bacteria and mold which inhabit the surface of the food.

The active substance used in the technology has been used to sanitize drinking water for over 50 years.
It is sanctioned for uses under EC notified Directive 98/8/EC for use with food, as well as
within public healthcare and private homes. The active ingredient does not penetrate into food and is not dangerous to human or animal health.

This system is used for the disinfection of cooling-rooms and chillers in the catering industry. Maxi enables the use of targeted sanitation for larger areas by using single maxi sanitizing sticks for food storage units of up to 5m³. When sanitizing larger areas one can simply add additional maxi sticks, eg. for an area of 15m³- use 3 maxi sticks.
